This is such an easy recipe, barely even. It’s a few tasty flavorful ingredients mixed together into a bowl. And this creates the most luscious and tasty Garlic Parmesan Sauce, EVER 💛 If Garlic Parmesan wings are your thing, then this recipe will be your thing too!

This garlic parmesan sauce recipe is perfect for chicken wings. Try it with our crispy Air Fryer Chicken Wings, or with our Grilled Chicken Wings— SO GOOD! Also just as perfect with Nacho Fries, but instead of Nacho Cheese Sauce Recipe, use this one. And not to mention, a great dip for Margherita Pizza, and any Pizza Recipe!

Why You’ll Love this Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • No cooking needed, no food processor or blender. Just a bowl and spoon!
  • Extra easy and 2 minute recipe
  • Luscious texture–super creamy!
  • Tastier than any garlic parmesan sauce recipe you’ll make!
  • Not overpowering–we’ve perfected the amount of garlic, vinegar and lemon to make this a perfect balance!
  • Keeps in the fridge for a while, so you can make plenty and have some on hand when you need it!
  • You can use it ENDLESSLY, not just for chicken wings! More on that below!

Garlic Parmesan Sauce Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients for the garlic parmesan sauce in a board. A bowl of mayo, some crushed garlic in a bowl, lemon juice in a bowl, some italian seasoning in a bowl, some salt and pepper in a bowl, some apple cider vinegar and a bowl of grated parmesan chese

  • Mayonnaise. We use avocado oil based mayo since it’s the only one we love. You can otherwise use half mayo and half sour cream, similar to our HIT RECIPE: Blue Cheese Dressing.
  • Parmesan Cheese. The star of the sauce, use quality and freshly grated parmesan.
  • Garlic. Star of the flavors, we grate the garlic finely for maximum flavor.
  • Lemon Juice. For tang.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar. To balance out the creamy mayo.
  • Oregano/Italian Seasoning. This adds so much flavor to the sauce, don’t skimp! You can use all fresh herbs, or all dried or even a combo.
  • Salt and pepper.
  • Chilli Flakes. While they’re optional, it’s SO GOOD!

Now that you have all those ingredients handy, here’s the next step.

How to Make Garlic Parmesan Sauce

All garlic parmesan sauce ingredients added into one large bowl

  1. Use a medium sized bowl, and add all the ingredients above together.
The garlic parmesan sauce mixed in the bowl and a spoon showing off the final texture
  2. Use a non fancy spoon and mix them together. The sauce will have this texture and consistency.
The sauce poured into a serving bowl with a spoon in the middle. Close up showing the texture of the sauce
  3. You’re done. Seriously. That’s it! DELICIOUS 🤌 like you can slurp it right off the spoon!

Garlic Parmesan Sauce Recipe Tips and Uses

  1. If you want a super creamy texture, add the ingredients into a food processor instead of mixing by hand. It’s worth noting however, that the authentic garlic parmesan sauce is not that smooth, so that’s why we prefer making it without.
  2. If Mayo is too heavy for you, swap half of it with sour cream, like this Blue Cheese Dressing.
  3. Vinegar and lemon juice are both used to add some tang and cut down the mayo taste. You can use any type of vinegar, we prefer apple cider.
  4. You can make the sauce a touch extra spicy by using hot sauce instead of apple cider vinegar, or adding Sriracha.
  5. Freshly grated parmesan cheese is key for this sauce, as it is one of the STAR ingredients.
  6. Try using Roasted Garlic with How to Roast Garlic tutorial for a sweeter garlic taste.
  7. The sauce will absorb so much flavor as it sits down, so you may want to make it ahead. One day ahead is great, but even 1 hour ahead is great.
  8. The sauce will thicken slightly in the fridge. If you’re brushing it over hot Grilled Chicken Wings or Air Fryer Chicken Wings, it won’t matter. If you’re using it as a dip however, you may want to have it out at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.

How to Store Garlic Parmesan Sauce?

This sauce can be made and stored in the fridge for up to 20 days. It will taste better as it ages, so don’t feel like it’s too old after a week or so! It’s not a great condiment to freeze as the texture of the mayo will change and won’t be as creamy.

How to Use Garlic Parmesan Sauce?

  • Use a dip for Air Fryer Frozen French Fries, Chicken Fingers or Halloumi Fries. Load it over Carne Asada Fries, Nacho Fries.
  • Slather it over Air Fryer Chicken Wings or Grilled Chicken Wings as how it’s classically used.
  • Any type of chicken works however with this sauce. Use it over Air Fryer Chicken Breast or Air Fryer Chicken Legs.
  • Turn it into a salad dressing like this Blue Cheese Dressing by adding some milk to thin it out.
  • Spread it over sandwiches like our Caprese Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich
  • Try it with burgers instead of the burger sauce, like our popular Mushroom Swiss Burger.  Try it with Cheese Stuffed Burgers With Onions And Mushrooms and Philly Cheesesteak Sliders.
  • Spread it over our Cacio e Pepe Pizza or Mushroom Pizza. Or use it as a dip with Margherita Pizza, Air Fryer Pizza, Air Fryer Pizza Rolls.
  • Use them as a topping for Potato Pancakes or Mashed Potato Pancakes, or Spicy Corn Fritters and Cornbread Recipe

I already have plans for this sauce! Wings for sure. I’m also seeing this on some burgers, maybe a fried chicken sandwich. I’m definitely going to see how it goes with some fried shrimp.
