Long pin for turkey sliders

Our Turkey Sliders are one of the BEST slider recipes you’ll make! We use soft Hawaiian rolls, real turkey meat, cheese, a garlic parmesan sauce, and lots of fixings to make this a crowd pleaser! Today’s turkey slider recipe comes together in 20 minutes, and is perfect for snacks, lunches, game night, picnics and more! Be sure to watch the video below and step by step .

Ever since our popular Philly Cheesesteak Sliders, we have been making slider recipes ON REPEAT 💛 Today’s Turkey Sliders are just another AWESOME and totally addictive recipe–in a good way!

While you can make turkey sliders with deli turkey, we have found that using leftover Thanksgiving turkey to be the BOMB! So while we love making our Mediterranean Turkey Sandwich, we’ve found these turkey sliders to be perfect for a crowd! Also perfect for lunches!

For the record, I have been called the turkey queen every Thanksgiving and it’s because our turkey recipes are SUPER successful. Year after year, we’ve shared different cuts and ways to cook juicy turkey.

Our recent Spatchcock Turkey cooks evenly and it’s a whole turkey! The Turkey Tenderloin Recipe is my absolute favorite cut and technique! Turkey Breast Recipe On the Stove has been a life saver for many who fear oven roasting! And Dry Brine Turkey Breast is a turkey breast lovers dream!

Why You’ll Love Turkey Sliders

  • They’re SUPER easy to make!
  • We use so many sauces and condiments, like our BEST Garlic Parmesan Sauce. YUM!
  • The flavors are amazing, we even brsh the tops with a garlic butter.
  • Super delicious and seriously everyone WILL love!
  • The textures are perfect.
  • This recipe feeds a crowd in minutes 🙂 So it makes a perfect solution for entertaining and gathering.
  • We’ve found this turkey slider recipe to be the BEST way to repurpose leftovers 💛
  • This recipe can be made in advance, it stores, reheats and freezes beautifully (more on that below).
  • Theres so much room for variations, so you can use what you have on hand or what your preference is.

Turkey Slider Ingredients

All ingredients for the turkey sliders recipe on a cutting board. A pack of Hawaiian dinner rolls, some sliced marbled cheese, some leftover turkey meat, a bowl of cranberry sauce, a bowl of gravy, some fresh spinach, garlic parmesan sauce, and garlic butter for brushing

  • Turkey meat. We love using real turkey as opposed to deli turkey, however use what you prefer.
  • Our Garlic Parmesan Sauce makes the PERFECT spread here! It’s such a secret little sauce that elevates any dish.
  • Cheese slices. We love marbled cheddar, but Havarti or Gouda make great choices too. Use your favorite stretchy cheese 🙂
  • Cranberry Sauce. The sweetness of cranberries with the turkey is a classic favorite!
  • Italian Seasoning. Use a homemade blend or store-bought, it’s an extra flavor to your leftover turkey meat!
  • Gravy. All turkey recipes Spatchcock Turkey, Turkey Tenderloin Recipe, Turkey Breast Recipe On the Stove or Dry Brine Turkey Breast include gravy. So might as well use that too! Gravy adds a juicy moist feel to the turkey sliders, and of course it’s a FLAVOR bomb too!
  • Spinach. Optional f course, but it’s a great way to sneak in spinach into your meals.
  • Hawaiian rolls. You can use brioche rolls or any type of slider bread.
  • Garlic oregano butter. This is to brush the rolls before baking to flavor the bread. YUM!

H0w to Make Turkey Sliders

Prepare the Sliders Bread

  1. You’ll start by assembling the ingredients, preparing the Garlic Parmesan Sauce if you don’t already have it in the fridge. And then you’ll preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
A hand holding a serrated knife to cut cross sectionally the hawaiian rolls bread or slider bread.
  2. Use a serrated knife to slice the slider bread rolls into half, cross sectionally.
The slider rolls bread cut in to a top half and the bottom half while the sliders remain intact
  3. The sliders should not be separated, but the entire tops half and bottom half only.
A hand spreading a generous amount of the garlic parmesan sauce at the bottom and top halves of the bread
  4. Generously spread the Garlic Parmesan Sauce at the top and bottom half of the breads. Place the bottom part in a 9 inch by 13 inch baking pan. We prefer to line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

    Layer the Turkey sliders Filling

A layer of cheese slices goes on top of the bottom half bread that's spread with sauce to make turkey sliders

  5. Now add in a layer of cheese right over the bottom half that’s spread with sauce.
A generous layer of turkey goes ontop of the cheese for the turkey sliders
  6. The turkey meat from any of the Turkey Recipes goes on top. Or use deli turkey.
the turkey in the turkey sliders is topped with cranberry sauce, gravy and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning
  7. Since this is leftover turkey meat, we love to kick it up with flavor as MUCH as we can! And why NOT? We dollop some cranberry sauce, some gravy and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Like it takes these turkey sliders recipe to a whole NEW level of delicious!
A layer of spinach added over the turkey meat
  8. We love adding a layer of spinach leaves right over the turkey and fixings. This is optional but it’s refreshing and brightens the sliders.
A top layer of cheese is added over the spinach to complete the turkey slider recipe layering
  9. A final layer of cheese completes the layering of our turkey sliders recipe. Now you’re ready to put the top half of the bread over that and press it down well so the filling can stick together.
A hand holding a bowl of melted butter adding to it garlic powder, salt and dried oregano
  10. Right before finalizing the turkey sliders recipe, we love to flavor the bread tops for a little something extra. In a bowl, mis the melted butter, garlic powder, salt and dried oregano to make a garlic herb butter.

    Bake the Turkey Sliders

Tops of the sliders brushed with the melted butter mixture

  11. Brush the tops of the bread generously with this melted butter mixture. It adds SO MUCH flavor to the sliders so don’t skimp!
The baking pan is covered with foil and the turkey sliders are ready to go in the oven now
  12. Now cover the pan with aluminum foil tightly before it hits the oven. The foil will allow the turkey sliders to warm up and the cheese to melt without drying the bread.
Turkey sliders out of the oven in the pan and a hand holding a kitchen towel to show them
  13. Bake the turkey sliders for 15-20 minutes and then uncover the pan. It should like this coming out of the oven. Slightly golden tops, delicately crisp and warm melty filling.
  14. The turkey sliders are now ready to ENJOY💛 You can dip them in extra Garlic Parmesan Sauce or enjoy as is by pulling apart one slider at a time.

Turkey Sliders Tips and FAQ

  1. You can use deli turkey, however we love using leftover Turkey Recipes! Especially when we make a Spatchcock Turkey as our family isn’t big on turkey thighs, so we repurpose them.
  2. Use Hawaiian dinner rolls or brioche slider bread.
  3. Make sure to have a good serrated knife to slice the bread cross sectionally into two equal halves.
  4. This Garlic Parmesan Sauce is SO GOOD with the turkey sliders! You can use Spicy Mayo too!
  5. The toppings are completely optional, our choices here were tested a few times and this our BEST version!💛
  6. Use your favorite types of cheese, but make sure you use some as it helps the sliders stick together.
  7. The final brush of butter mixture flavors the bread and is a must make!
  8. Lining our pan with parchment paper makes for easy cleanup.
  9. The foil protects the bread for drying out while the cheese melts and the filling warms up.

Can I make Turkey Sliders Ahead of Time?

YES! You can assemble the whole sliders recipe, cover it with foil and place it in your fridge for up to 3 days. Bake the day of serving, adding an extra 5 minutes if baked cold. Alternatively you can bring the sliders to room temperature before baking and bake for the same amount of time.

How to Store Leftovers and Reheat Turkey Sliders?

The leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, cover again in foil and place in a 350 degrees F oven for 10 minutes. Our favorite way is to use the Air Fryer. Wrap the sliders in foil entirely and place in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.

Can you Freeze Turkey Sliders?

Once baked and cooled completely, the turkey sliders can be individually wrapped and frozen. To serve, thaw and reheat as above.

Which Cheese to use for this recipe?

You can absolutely swap the cheddar for Havarti or Gouda. Make sure you use a melty cheese, as it’s not just for taste. The cheese helps the sliders to and filling to bind together.

Why do we cover the sliders during baking?

Covering the sliders protects the bread from drying out as the filling warms up and cheese melts.

How Many sliders to serve per person?

It’s completely optional and to your taste! If this is a main dish, you serve approximately 3-5 siders per person along side a Salad Recipe or Air Fryer Frozen French Fries. If you’re having the sliders for lunch or as a side dish, or snack, we serve about 2 per person on average.
