You’ll then separate the buns or rolls into individual buns or rolls.

Next, make two deep slits across the roll but keep the roll intact. You will be spreading your garlic and herb butter into these slices.

My favorite tool for this is a serrated knife.

Making the Garlic Butter

ingredients for the garlic butter inclusinf melted butter, garlic, parmesan cheese, fresh herbs and seasoning

To make the garlic butter, simply add the following ingredients into a small food bowl and mix until well combined: melted butter, fresh garlic, oregano (fresh or dried), parmesan cheese, parsley, and salt and pepper.

garlic butter ready and mixed in a bowl

You can use olive oil in place of butter if you prefer that flavor.

Assembling the pizza rolls

Once your garlic butter is ready, brush the inside of each cut you made with a generous helping of it.

a hand brushing the bread with the garlic butter

Next, stuff your pizza roll with cheese. You can use mozzarella, cheddar, or any other cheese you like really. Make sure to stuff it well – don’t skimp!

After this, add in pepperoni or salami and more cheese if desired.

These are great for people who like a traditional margarita pizza and those who are vegetarian.

Spicy pizza rolls

For spicy pizza rolls, simply add some chili flakes to the garlic and herb butter mixture for added spice. or add in sliced jalapenos for some extra kick.

Bbq chicken pizza rolls

For something different, try making bbq chicken pizza rolls. Add in cooked shredded chicken, bbq sauce, cheese, and onions.
