This Peach Burrata Salad is a dreamy, sweet summer salad recipe that you’ll be making over and over. Serve it with your BBQ or some bread and it makes the best appetizer/side dish to any meal! Only a handful of ingredients and packed with flavor!

We absolutely have Burrata fever here – like we can’t get enough Burrata Cheese in LIFE!! Burrata Caprese is another summer dream salad which is similar to this Peach Burrata Salad, except it focuses on tomatoes, and involves croutons.

Burrata Pizza is a blend of pizza with a creamy burrata cheese over the toppings, and similarly Burrata Pasta. A luscious Sun Dried Tomato Pesto tossed with cooked pasta, then topped with the Burrata Cheese. SERIOUSLY the best!

Burrata Salad is a Mediterranean infused salad that’s bursting with simple flavors, similar to this Peach Burrata Salad, except we use figs, olives, croutons and radishes. Each has a unique taste and each is worth making!

For now let’s jump into today’s recipe–simple, easy and so luscious!

What is Peach Burrata Salad

Peach salads are a staple in summer! And the combo of peaches and burrata are like a dreamy pair. The salad recipe is made of a bed of greens, usually arugula for us since we love it! Plus we always add in some fresh basil leaves for a bright kick to the salad.

The salad is made primarily of lots and lots of fresh peaches, and you can add to that some sliced onions, avocados, tomatoes, radishes or whatever your heart desires!

As for the dressing, nothing could be simpler. While you can use a basil vinaigrette like the one with this delicious Panzanella Salad, we made it even simpler! Just salt, pepper, balsamic syrup and olive oil. Quality olive oil, of course. Our favorite is Mina, and it’s a Moroccan brand which is available at stores and amazon. SO GOOD!

Ingredients for Peach Burrata Salad

Ingredients for the peach burrata salad on a board including lots of fresh peaches, a burrata cheese, some basil leave, fresh arugula, onions, avocado and toasted hazelnuts

  • Greens: We used arugula because it’s our favorite. However you can use spinach  or spring greens.
  • Peaches: Sweet and seasonal summer peaches are a MUST here!
  • Burrata Cheese: You can find lactose free burrata now which is a DREAM for us! You can read all about burrata cheese here and get to know it!
  • Basil Leaves: We use it to compliment the arugula as the salad base.
  • Onions: Purple onions add a nice spice kick to the salad.
  • Avocados: Optional, but they add a creamy texture which pairs so beautifully with the sweet peaches and ccreamy burrata.
  • Toasted Hazelnuts: Anything crunchy here works, even croutons. We love nuts or pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, and hazelnuts have a sweetness that goes so well with peaches! Walnuts and almonds are another favorite to substitute here.

How to Make Peach Burrata Salad

A hand slicing the fresh peaches on a cutting board to make the salad recipe

  1. Start by slicing the ingredients for the salad on a cutting board. While you can of course dice the ingredients if that’s your preference, we prefer slicing.
All ingredients for the peach burrata salad are sliced on a cutting board including sliced peaches, red onions, avocados
  2. Now that all your ingredients are sliced and ready, it’s time to assemble the salad. Make sure to add on your favorites like tomatoes, apples, radishes etc.. This is a super forgiving salad, and seriously so GOOD! Feel free to get some inspiration from this Burrata Caprese and Burrata Salad. A hand layering the greens and fresh basil leaves at the bottom of the salad plate to make the salad recipe
  3. This is basil from our garden and we couldn’t be more excited to use it! Basil leaves add a nice bright and fresh touch to any salad green you’re using. Add your sliced ingredients over the basil leaves and greens.A hand holding the burrata cheese breaking it apart slightly over the peach salad
  4. Once the salad is layered, the burrata cheese goes last. Break it up with your hand as shown above or use a knife to gently break it apart. At this point the salad is ready and needs a light dressing.

Dressing for the Peach Burrata Salad

Balsamic syrup is the magical ingredient to dress up this salad recipe, along with quality olive oil. Simple, yet SO GOOD!

Season it up with salt, pepper, chilli flakes and garnish the salad recipe with extra basil if you’d like, then serve right away!

  2. Get to know what is burrata, how to buy burrata, what burrata tastes like and more in this Burrata Cheese article.
  3. Use your favorite greens as a base for the salad, spinach, greens, arugula are all great, but make sure to add in some fresh basil leaves for brightness and flavor.
  4. Add in your favorite fruits and veggies like tomatoes, apples, figs, radishes, berries, pomegranate and more!
  5. The best way to dress this peach burrata salad recipe is with a balsamic syrup and quality olive oil, this pairs beautifully and brings out the sweetness of peaches and burrata.
  6. You can make a simple basil vinaigrette like the one used in this Panzanella Salad as well.
  7. Serve this salad with croutons like the Caprese Salad for a hearty dish.
  8. Add in some protein like grilled chicken or steak to make this a full meal.
  9. If you ask me, I would add Grilled Lamb Skewers!

  11. Try grilling the peaches for an even sweeter salad! Grilled peaches have a caramelized sweet taste that’s unbeatable!

Storing Peach Burrata Salad

Like many salads, this recipe is best served right away as it has fresh fruits. The more it sits, the fruits starts to wilt and loose some of that crisp.

If you need to be making it in advance then have all ingredients sliced and ready, assemble the plate and keep it in the fridge. Add the burrata cheese, seasoning and dressing right before serving.

If you opt for the grilled peaches then you can totally make this salad in advance and dress it up just before serving.

What to Serve with Burrata Salad

You can serve this is an appetizer to any meal, something grilled or light pasta dish like Spaghetti aglio e olio-  Olive oil Pasta. It makes perfect side dish to Pizza Recipes and grilled proteins like Grilled Chicken Breast Skewers.

I was skeptical about this combo but I really ended up enjoying it! It’s so fresh and the burrata really accentuates the peaches.
