- Leftovers are just as delicious with the grilled veggies and a cooked grain like quinoa.
Why Chosen Foods?

- Double using the salad dressing like I did here (as a marinade first and then as a finishing sauce once the salmon is grilled) adds so MUCH flavor to your meals!

Grilled Salmon Recipe
Grilling salmon is the perfect way to cook this fish. With such delicate flesh and flavor, you definitely want to cook salmon quickly so that it retains its moisture and doesn’t dry out.
I’ve got two ways to grill salmon today for a moist, tender, and flavor packed dinner that your family will devour! Also don’t forget to read below on using leftovers for a salmon salad bowl 🙂
How to Grill Salmon
Firstly we’ll go over how to grill salmon on the stovetop. This is probably the easiest method for most people as it doesn’t require getting the grill out and this recipe can be done quickly and easily. However, barbequing the salmon will bring out more flavor than this stovetop method.
You can make this recipe with the skin on or off, it’s totally up to you and your preference. If you don’t like skin, sometimes it’s easier to remove the skin once it’s cooked as it peels off so much easier.
We are going to grill our salmon fillets with the marinade on them before grilling, so pour the Garden Goddess dressing over the salmon fillets. Use a generous amount and spread it evenly over the salmon so that all the flesh is coated. You can season with salt and black pepper for preference if you like.
Once you have prepared your fillets for grilling, place a skillet on the stovetop with your Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Cooking Spray. This will stop the salmon from sticking to the grill. You want to use medium to high heat to cook the fish.
Place the salmon skin side down on the skillet and grill for 3-5 minutes. Turn the salmon over and grill for another 3-5 minutes and your fish is done.
To test whether your salmon is properly cooked through, it should break apart easily with a fork. When ready, drizzle more Garden Goddess Dressing on top and serve.
How to Cook Salmon on the Grill
Now we will go over how to grill on the BBQ grill. This is by far my favorite way to grill salmon and is a great way to make any grilled fish. It gives the dish so much flavor, and while it may be a bit more effort than cooking it on the stovetop, the extra flavor it brings is totally worth it.
To make this grilled fish, prepare your salmon in the same way by adding the Garden Goddess Dressing to your salmon fillet, making sure it’s fully coated before cooking.
Using the Garden Goddess Dressing is important, as it’s key to making this the best-grilled salmon recipe. It adds to the flavor of the salmon beautifully, especially when cooked on the bbq grill, while keeping it juicy.
Once you have prepared your raw salmon, make sure your grill is up to high heat, and then spray the grill grates with Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Cooking Spray to stop the salmon fillets from sticking to the grill.
Place the salmon on the grill grates to cook for 3- 5 minutes on each side of the salmon. Place the skin side down first if you are keeping the skin on. Having the skin side down helps to protect the salmon from the hot heat of the skillet.
Once your salmon is done, and it flakes easily it’s ready to serve with more Garden Goddess drizzled on top.
I love adding skewers of grilled veggies to my grill while the salmon is cooking. They take the exact same amount of time , so why not?
Choose your favorite veggies or what you have on hand–I grilled sweet peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes (skewered) and lemon halves.
Brushing the veggies with a layer of Chosen Foods Garden Goddess Dressing is KEY to delicious grilled veggies!
You’ll notice the difference if you’ve been used to grilling your veggies with some olive oil and salt only. By adding a layer of Chosen Foods Dressing to the grilled veggies, be prepared to be pleasantly surprised!! 🙂
Grilled Salmon Marinade
The marinade for this recipe is so important. You’ll need a flavor packed mixture that will coat and infuse the salmon, without overpowering the flavors.
In this recipe, I use the Garden Goddess salad Dressing for marinating. It was the perfect amount of fresh herbs, spices and creamy tahini to coat the salmon. Also, the avocado oil base keeps the salmon super moist!
While you can invest some time in making a marinade from scratch, I would absolutely recommend using one of the Chosen Foods dressings like I did today! They’re the perfect balance of taste and texture, with minimal effort and time!
Another bonus to using the dressing is finishing off the cooked salmon with them! Adding that final drizzle of dressing to the cooked salmon matches perfectly the initial marinade flavors which takes the grilled salmon to another level!
What To Serve with Grilled Salmon
I grill this salmon with lots of grilled veggies, either on the stovetop or on the BBQ grill. Grilled peppers and mushrooms go really well with this recipe. Try grilling zucchini as well, or corn, asparagus and any veggie you like!
I also serve with a refreshing chickpea salad with more Garden Goddess dressing on top. The salmon, grilled veg, and chickpea salad make a delicious and wholesome dish.
Serving this salad with a few slices of grilled lemon is also a treat. You can then squeeze the lemon all over the salmon when it’s cooked.
Grilled lemon has a sweeter more intense flavor than regular lemon, so don’t skimp on that grilled lemon squeeze!
Grilled Salmon Salad
What I love about this grilled salmon recipe is that you can use any leftovers to make a delicious grilled salmon salad the next day. The salad is super healthy, delicious, and really easy to pull together as a leftover dinner.
This salad is best made with a grain such as quinoa, couscous, or even rice with some greens, avocado, and whatever leftover grilled veg is left along with the leftover grilled salmon.
It’s nicely finished off with a generous serving of the Garden Goddess salad dressing for a salad that’s full of flavor and hugely satisfying.
This salad plate keeps in your fridge for at least 3 days!
