Instructions

  1. You'll start by assembling the ingredients, preparing the Garlic Parmesan Sauce if you don't already have it in the fridge. And then you'll preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Use a serrated knife to slice the slider bread rolls into half, cross sectionally.

  3. The sliders should not be separated, but the entire tops half and bottom half only.
The slider rolls bread cut in to a top half and the bottom half while the sliders remain intact
  4. Generously spread the Garlic Parmesan Sauce at the top and bottom half of the breads. Place the bottom part in a 9 inch by 13 inch baking pan. We prefer to line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
A hand spreading a generous amount of the garlic parmesan sauce at the bottom and top halves of the bread
  5. Start Layering the Filling.

A layer of cheese slices goes on top of the bottom half bread that's spread with sauce to make turkey sliders
  6. Now add in a layer of cheese right over the bottom half that's spread with sauce. You should use about half the cheese.

  7. The turkey meat from any of the Turkey Recipes goes on top. Or use deli turkey.

  8. Dollop some cranberry sauce, some gravy and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Like it takes these turkey sliders recipe to a whole NEW level of delicious!

  9. Now add in the spinach leaves right over the turkey and fixings. This is optional but it's refreshing and brightens the sliders.

  10. A final layer of cheese completes the layering of our turkey sliders recipe. Now you're ready to put the top half of the bread over that and press it down well so the filling can stick together.

  11. Right before finalizing the turkey sliders recipe, it's best to flavor the bread tops for a little something extra. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, salt and dried oregano to make a garlic herb butter.

  12. Brush the tops of the bread generously with this melted butter mixture. It adds SO MUCH flavor to the sliders so don't skimp!

  13. Now cover the pan with aluminum foil tightly before it hits the oven. The foil will allow the turkey sliders to warm up and the cheese to melt without drying the bread.
The baking pan is covered with foil and the turkey sliders are ready to go in the oven now
  14. Bake the turkey sliders for 15-20 minutes and then uncover the pan. It will look slightly golden, delicately crisp with warm melty filling.

Turkey Sliders Tips and FAQ

  1. You can use deli turkey, however we love using leftover Turkey Recipes! Especially when we make a Spatchcock Turkey as our family isn't big on turkey thighs, so we repurpose them.
  2. Use Hawaiian dinner rolls or brioche slider bread.
  3. Make sure to have a good serrated knife to slice the bread cross sectionally into two equal halves.
  4. This Garlic Parmesan Sauce is SO GOOD with the turkey sliders! You can use Spicy Mayo too!
  5. The toppings are completely optional, our choices here were tested a few times and this our BEST version!💛
  6. Use your favorite types of cheese, but make sure you use some as it helps the sliders stick together.
  7. The final brush of butter mixture flavors the bread and is a must make!
  8. Lining our pan with parchment paper makes for easy cleanup.
  9. The foil protects the bread for drying out while the cheese melts and the filling warms up.
  10. The sliders are best served right out of the oven--SO GOOD!!!

Can I make Turkey Sliders Ahead of Time?

YES! You can assemble the whole sliders recipe, cover it with foil and place it in your fridge for up to 3 days. Bake the day of serving, adding an extra 5 minutes if baked cold. Alternatively you can bring the sliders to room temperature before baking and bake for the same amount of time.

How to Store Leftovers and Reheat Turkey Sliders?

The leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, cover again in foil and place in a 350 degrees F oven for 10 minutes. Our favorite way is to use the Air Fryer. Wrap the sliders in foil entirely and place in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.

Can you Freeze Turkey Sliders?

Once baked and cooled completely, the turkey sliders can be individually wrapped and frozen. To serve, thaw and reheat as above.

Which Cheese to use for this recipe?

You can absolutely swap the cheddar for Havarti or Gouda. Make sure you use a melty cheese, as it's not just for taste. The cheese helps the sliders to and filling to bind together.

Why do we cover the sliders during baking?

Covering the sliders protects the bread from drying out as the filling warms up and cheese melts.

How Many sliders to serve per person?

It's completely optional and to your taste! If this is a main dish, you serve approximately 3-5 siders per person along side a Salad Recipe or Air Fryer Frozen French Fries. If you're having the sliders for lunch or as a side dish, or snack, we serve about 2 per person on average.
