Ingredients

  • 2 Avocados peeled and pited
  • 1 cup Vanilla Yogurt Any type, even non dairy
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup or honey or agave
  • 1/4 teaspoon matcha powder

To Thin The Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup water or clementine juice or orange juice

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for a few seconds. The smoothie will be thick and luscious. If you prefer to make this a smoothie bowl, you can. Otherwise you can serve it as its a smoothie or thin it out with water or juice.

Recipe Notes

  • Use soft ripe avocados for extra texture and body to your smoothie.
  • Any type of yogurt works in this recipe, choose your favorite. If you're making this a vegan smoothie, use any non dairy yogurt.
  • when you add the sweetener, start with a teaspoon and taste. Depending on your taste and brand of vanilla yogurt, you may need anywhere from 1 teaspoon to a few tablespoons.
  • Matcha is a powerful anti-oxidant and a little bit goes a long way. So don't add too much!
  • You don't need a high quality blender to make this smoothie, any blender works well!
  • If the smoothie feels too thick for your taste, thin it out with juice or even water.
  • To make a smoothie bowl, simply pour the smoothie into a bowl and top it with granola, nuts, berries and your favorite toppings.
  • This smoothie is best enjoyed within two days. Keep any extra smoothie in the fridge.
