Homemade Hot Chocolate Recipe and Hot Chocolate Bar

One of my favorite things about the Holidays every year is this Homemade Hot Chocolate Recipe. Made in a Crock-Pot so you never have to worry about watching it. I love serving It with a full bar of toppings for a festive feel like no other! This hot chocolate recipe is also perfect on a cold day, or any rainy day.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups cream
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • pinch salt

Toppings:

  • 1 cup marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sugared almonds
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 cup chocolate sauce

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in the 7 QT Crock-Pot Cook & Carry Easy Clean Slow Cooker and set to low for 2 hours. An hour later, use a whisk to make sure the chocolate has melted and seal the old back on.
  2. Use a ladle to scoop the hot chocolate in to your serving cups and top them however you please! Enjoy!! :)

Recipe Notes

-Use your favorite type of chocolate in the recipe, but remember to use high quality chocolate because otherwise the drink will reflect on that.
-Add extra cream and remove inlace of that some of the milk in the recipe for a thick and richer hot chocolate.
-Use your 7 QT Crock-Pot Cook & Carry Easy Clean Slow Cooker for best results.
-Crock-Pot hot chocolate creates a smooth, silky and creamy hot chocolate without any after taste.
-Crock-Pot hot chocolate also is a peace of mind. You don;t need to be whacking or watching so the chocolate doesn’t burn. Just set it and go.
-Prepare the toppings bar and set up the table.
